Happy Friday, y’all. Before we get into anything else today, I want to acknowledge the heartbreaking news out of Bend yesterday. My heart goes out to the families, loved ones, and everyone in the community affected by the shooting. It's devastating, and I know so many of us across Oregon are feeling the weight of it today.

With everything going on, I also want to remind you that it's okay to take care of yourself and step away from the news when you need to. We've put together a Mental Health Resources Guide with local resources and support for anyone who might need it.

• Halloween Drag Queen Bingo is coming to the Hi-Lo Hotel on Friday, October 30! Hosted by Portland icon Poison Waters, the evening includes drag performances, cocktails, bingo, and prizes ranging from gift certificates to hotel stays. Costumes are encouraged, so come dressed to impress!

• Celebrating women and gender-nonconforming voices in skiing and snowboarding, the Girl Winter Film Tour returns for its second year with a collection of films and a Q&A with the athletes and filmmakers behind them. Catch the screening at Alberta Rose Theatre on Tuesday, November 3rd.
