Is anyone else getting weather whiplash? As much as I do love the PNW’s comfy, cozy rainy season, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t getting excited for some damn sun!

I love how the city comes alive in the spring and summer, so we’re giving you the chance to win the perfect day at Skamania Sip & Stroll on May 16! We’re talking drinks, music, shopping — what else could you need?

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • The One Moto Show isn’t just a bike show — it’s a shrine to anything loud and fast. We’re talking 300+ custom builds, wild helmet art, live music, test rides, and enough chrome to blind you. Toss in food, drinks, and stuff for the kids, and suddenly it’s a whole day. Buy tickets!*

  • Lucero is dragging the ragged, heart-on-sleeve masterpiece That Much Further West to Revolution Hall for a full-album run in July.

  • Get lost for a while at Temples Bliss Tour at Mississippi Studios in September. It’s vintage, it’s spacey, and you should get tickets.

  • Part soul, part pop, all hits you actually know. Teddy Swims is taking over Moda Center in November, and he just dropped a new single.

  • The Pineapple Thief is hitting Revolution Hall in December with that prog-leaning, slow-build sound. Get tickets for the Far and Wide Tour.

TRIBUTE SHOWS & DANCE PARTIES

Sometimes you don’t want new music. You want the songs you already love, loud enough to feel in your chest. That’s the whole deal with tribute shows and dance nights. No guessing. No warming up. Just straight into singing, dancing, and losing it with a room full of people on the same wavelength.

THE LOCAL’S LIST: A LOCAL MUSICIAN’S INSPIRATIONS

Brent Gunter will premiere his full Trade Winds concert live at the Newmark Theatre on May 15 — a one-night-only performance being filmed as a cinematic concert experience. Find out what inspires him.

LOCALS ONLY

  • Amy Goodman at Cinema 21 isn’t an everyday thing. She’s pulling up next weekend for a live Q&A after Steal This Story Please. If you care about media, politics, or just hearing someone who knows what they’re talking about, this is worth leaving the house for.

  • Wasabi Fest is back, which means Portland is about to get way more intense about condiments. The 2nd annual hit goes down in June with spicy tastings, food vendors, drinks, and more. It’s weird, it’s niche, and yeah — people go hard for it.

  • The 503 Day Block Party is back at Ankeny Alley on May 3, featuring a variety show, karaoke, a silent disco, raffle, beer garden, and more!

WIN STUFF

In perfect Portland fashion, there will be a Clown March followed by a picnic at Laurelhurst Park tomorrow at 1 PM. If you want to add some whimsy to your weekend — this is it! Anyone else down to clown? ⬇️2️⃣🤡

Sidenote: Were people prepping for this last weekend? Because I witnessed a suspicious number of clowns along Hawthorne…
