Today's newsletter is coming to you live from the Toyota service department because my car apparently had other plans for my day. The upside? Four hours in a waiting room is a lot easier to survive when I've got a newsletter to put together. While I've been killing time, I've already decided Houndmouth and local favorite Jakki and the Pink Smudge are making it onto my calendar.

• Michelle Branch is bringing the Everywhere And Back Again Tour to McMenamins Crystal Ballroom on Tuesday, Sept. 29th. If "Everywhere" or "All You Wanted" still have a permanent spot in your playlists, this one's for you.

• Citizen returns to Portland on Monday, Sept. 21st, with a stop at Wonder Ballroom. The band's back, and so is your excuse to finally see them live.

• Fresh off the release of Lordy, Houndmouth is bringing its latest chapter to McMenamins Crystal Ballroom on Friday, Nov. 13th.

• Award-winning comedian Cat Alvarado brings her critically acclaimed show Trad Wife to Portland's Curious Comedy Theatre, July 24th, 7PM & 9PM. A scorched-earth comedy about growing up evangelical, surviving purity culture, and the myth of the trad-wife. Co-headlining and also recording his special is Emmy-nominated comedy writer and performer Paul Clay.*

• Local favorite Jakki and the Pink Smudge heads to McMenamins Crystal Ballroom on Friday, Sept. 25th, joined by Jonny's Day Out and Ogre for an all Portland lineup.
