Rockstar was an absolute blast and easily a 10/10. I did leave with a slight concussion thanks to a crowdsurfer’s shoe meeting the base of my skull in the photo pit, but I guess that’s an occupational hazard. We’ll be sharing a recap over on our Instagram, so give us a follow!
That being said, I’m not up for much today other than couch rotting, so I linked some of my favorite deli sandwiches around town in case you’re feeling a lazy Monday, too.

JUST ANNOUNCED
More than 30 years in, Converge is still going strong. The longtime heavy music favorites make their way to Hawthorne Theatre on Wednesday, Oct. 14th.
NYC siblings Lulu and Angel Prost have been making music together as Frost Children since 2020, and now they’ve got a Portland date on the calendar. Catch them at Roseland Theater on Sunday, Dec. 6th.
Motorboats, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards—you name it, it’s invited. The free Smile Boat Parade floats down the Columbia on Saturday, Aug. 22nd, followed by a Beach Bash with music and awards.*
If there was ever a night for a Blade-inspired vampire rave, Halloween is probably it. Blade Rave takes over Hawthorne Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 31st, complete with DJs, go-go dancers, cosplayers, themed drinks, and a midnight bloodbath.

Throw it back at the Crystal Ballroom with 90s/2010s Dance Flashback on Saturday, Nov. 21st. A whole night dedicated to the songs you definitely still know all the words to.
Creepy’s is making Mondays a little less painful with trivia every week from 7–9PM. It’s free, it’s 21+, and at the very least you get to find out how much useless information you’ve been carrying around in your brain.
