Lasagna soup was the winner last night! I will say, though, what is up with people wanting to put cream cheese in soup? I’m anti-cream cheese in weird things, sorry not sorry.

• Get a head start on holiday shopping with local art, handmade goods, and a cocktail in hand. First Thursday Crafts & Cocktails takes over the Crystal Ballroom on Thursday, Nov. 5th, with local artists, makers, and small businesses filling the ballroom.

• Ring in the new year at Black Water Bar with DJ Keet Beat and DJ Shane Damage. The New Year’s Eve party kicks off at 7PM on Thursday, Dec. 31st and keeps going into 2027.

• House of Heavy is keeping metal night going even when there’s no tour in town. Expect nu-metal throwbacks, alt-metal anthems, and plenty of breakdowns at Hawthorne Theatre on Friday, Nov. 20th.

• Lola’s Room is rewinding things back to the ’90s for a full night of throwbacks. 90’s Dance Flashback takes over on Saturday, Dec. 19th, starting at 9PM.
