Daily Email - Tuesday - 08/04/2026

The heat and smoke have made for a tough start to the week, and we know they're affecting everyone a little differently. Whether you're looking for a place to cool off, checking the air quality before heading out, or just trying to stay informed, we put together a page with local resources that we hope you'll find helpful.

Whenever you feel up for getting out, we've also rounded up a few things happening around town.

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • If you've somehow never fallen down the CupcakKe rabbit hole, now might be the time. Catch the Chicago rapper at Roseland Theater on Friday, Sept. 18th.

  • The world’s most dysfunctional podcast is going on tour. Come see Fear& like you’ve never seen them before. LIVE and in-person. That’s honestly all that will really be different. Besides that it’ll pretty much just be the podcast but you'll be in the room able to ask them stuff. Hasan Piker, Will Neff, QTCinderella & AustinShow take on the west coast, mainly because Austin wanted to do crowd work in Portland.*

  • An evening with Jeffrey Martin is on the calendar at Polaris Hall on Thursday, Nov. 5th, joined by special guest Sam Weber.

  • Enjoy an evening dedicated to chimpanzee rescue, care and protection as Dr. Sheri Speede brings Africa to Portland! The festivities will include the Founder and Director’s presentation, auctions, dinner and a bar.*

  • Plus other just announced shows from Dead Kennedys, Svdden Death, and more!

A FEW HEAT & SMOKE RESOURCES

Consider this your bookmark for the next few days. Cooling centers, air quality maps, smoke resources, and more, all in one place.
