• Three bands, one $10 bill. Crashing Wayward hits Twilight Cafe and Bar on Thursday, Oct. 22nd, joined by Drop The Star and Purusa.

• Spend a Monday night watching something funny for a change. The Portland Comedy Film Festival brings its fall edition to Clinton St. Theater on Sept. 21st, with six hours of films on the lineup.

• Get an early start on Halloween while supporting a good cause. Glasghote, Gunk, Breath, and Lágoon play Twilight Cafe and Bar on Friday, Oct. 16th, with the show benefiting Magic Wheelchair.

• Apparently blowing up the Centennial Mills water tower was Portland’s event of the week. After the four-alarm fire earlier this month, crews officially brought the tower down Monday.
