New month, new header, and a new 50 Things to Do! We’ve got a whole list of what’s happening around Portland in September, and I can’t wait to hear what everyone else is excited about this month.

• Known online as Stoney McBlaze, Austin Kress has racked up millions of followers with his laid-back takes on everyday life, extreme sports, and all things “STOKE.” Catch him in The Neon Room at Helium Comedy Club on Thursday, Jan. 7th.

• Jeff Scheen has taken his lovably weird comedy from the Midwest to the Comedy Cellar and late-night TV. Catch him in The Neon Room at Helium Comedy Club on Wednesday, Jan. 13th.

• Three bands are taking over Kelly’s Olympian on Saturday, Oct. 3rd. Wallcrawler, Witch Agony, and Red Hoof get things started at 8PM, with tickets at $10 in advance.

50 THINGS TO DO IN SEPTEMBER

New month, new excuse to fill up your calendar. September has plenty going on around Portland, so we picked 50 things to do before we officially say goodbye to summer and start pretending it’s fall.

• Bass music and local art are back at Barrel Room with Wednesday Wubs. The weekly party returns tomorrow at 9PM, and it’ll only cost you $5 to get in.

• Labor Day night is for dancing at Goodfoot. Dyke Pool takes over on Monday, Sept. 7th at 9PM, with tickets running $5–$10.
